Glenayr Apartments

Accommodation in Launceston at Glenayr Apartments is a wonderful experience on our 1,000 acre working farm. We are just 8-10 minutes drive from Launceston's CBD in Northern Tasmania. The Launceston airport is only 15 minutes away and you can be picked up there if you would like. There are a varied range of farming enterprises being undertaken at Glenayr and all farming is based on organic practices as much as possible. If you would like to stay in luxury accommodation close to the city of Launceston and enjoy the feel of a working farm, then this is the place for you. You can see farm animals that include cows with calves, mini ponies, mini cattle, goats, horses, sheep and lambs. You can stroll through the vineyard and see first hand the vines that produce the wonderful Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer wines available at our cellar door. And if you are in Launceston with your golf clubs you can have a practice hit from our tee-off green.

There are 5 well appointed self-contained apartments comprising of 6 rooms each. Upstairs the bedroom has a luxurious queen sized bed with ensuite and a sitting room. Downstairs there's a granite/blackwood kitchenette with toaster, microwave and kettle. The downstairs sitting room can double as a second bedroom if required and has it's own bathroom.

Quality linen and towelling is included in the tariff.

Panoramic rural views can be enjoyed from all apartments.

These rates are for 2 adults on a twin share minimum two night stay basis. Additional adults, teenagers and children are $50.00 per night. We are dog friendly here and can accommodate your dog for a small additional charge. Rules however prohibit any animals from being inside the apartments. Other pets including horses can also be accommodated by arrangement for an extra charge. Cancellations or changes to bookings must be made at least 7 days prior to the check in date or you will be charged the full amount of the booking.

Activities available while at Glenayr

• Ryanna Vineyard is on site and you can enjoy a stroll through this vineyard as it starts to emerge from it's recent planting.



• There is a nearby lake you can kayak on.



• Helicopter rides are available nearby. (Early booking is required).



• You can fish in the lake all year round if you are under the age of 17.



• Enjoy a walk through the bushland on the property.
• Jeep rides are also available on the farm.
• A guided tour of the farm is available.



• Launceston is the second largest city in Tasmania and is located in Northern Tasmania. The surrounding area is host to a variety of attractions including Cataract Gorge, City Park and the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. There are many historical sites and ancient 19th century buildings throughout the city. It's only a 10 minute drive to the city centre.
